Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage uses skilled hands-on techniques to address tension and restriction within muscles and other soft tissues. Through pressure, movement, and carefully selected techniques, massage can influence muscle tone, circulation, and nervous-system activity. The goal is to improve comfort and mobility while supporting recovery, function, and relaxation.
What your treatment may include
An Individualized Approach
Therapeutic massage is not limited to one technique or one goal. Each session is shaped around your needs, comfort, preferred pressure, and treatment goals and may draw from focused, recovery-oriented, or relaxation-based care.
Integrated Therapeutic Tools
Your session may incorporate Tui Na, myofascial or trigger-point techniques, stretching, cupping, gua sha, hot or cold stones, warm towels, therapeutic movement, breathing practices, or other supportive methods when appropriate. Rather than being offered as separate enhancements, these tools are selected according to what I observe and how your body responds that day. Different areas of tension and holding patterns may respond better to different forms of input, so I may shift methods to support release and the overall goal of your treatment. When used, these methods are included as part of the session and are not charged as separate add-ons.
Targeted Relief & Movement
Focused hands-on work addresses muscular tension, soft-tissue restriction, discomfort, and movement limitations, including related areas that may be contributing to the primary concern.
Recovery & Performance Support
Deeper or sports-oriented techniques may be used to support recovery from activity, restore movement, improve function, or address a specific area together with the surrounding structures influencing it.
Restorative Relaxation
A session may also use a gentler pace and soothing techniques when the goal is to de-stress, calm the nervous system, and create an overall sense of rest and rejuvenation.
Massage Appointments
Therapeutic Massage — 60 minutes
A massage and bodywork session that may be booked as a first visit. After a brief check-in, the session is individualized according to your comfort, preferred pressure, goals, and areas needing attention, with approximately 50 minutes of hands-on care. The session may focus on specific concerns, overall muscular tension, restorative relaxation, or a combination based on your priorities that day.
Therapeutic Massage — 90 minutes
Provides additional time for a massage and bodywork session, with approximately 80 minutes of hands-on care. The added time allows greater flexibility for more extensive overall-body work, focused attention to areas of tension, pain, or restricted movement, restorative relaxation, or a combination based on your priorities that day.
Massage-Focused with Acupuncture — 60 minutes
A massage-centered appointment best suited when there are fewer areas of concern, with acupuncture incorporated as a supportive part of care. Massage and bodywork remain the primary focus, with the available time divided between hands-on work and acupuncture according to your needs.
Massage-Focused with Acupuncture — 90 minutes
Provides additional time when there are more areas of concern, or when more time is desired to integrate massage and acupuncture. Massage and bodywork remain the primary focus, with acupuncture incorporated as a supportive part of care.
Please note: Prenatal massage is not currently offered because the practice does not yet have the specialized positioning and bolstering needed to comfortably accommodate massage during pregnancy.
